This year, like every year on June 5th, we commemorate World Environment Day to continue raising awareness in the population with issues related to the care and importance of our ecosystem.
In pursuit of this objective, our country has its foot on the gas with multiple initiatives and increasingly demanding regulations associated with circular economy (such as the National Roadmap for a Circular Economy by 2040) and the Extended Producer Responsibility Law (EPR), which, without a doubt, will contribute to Chile achieving better recycling and recovery rates and less generation of waste in the near future.
As a fundamental contribution to the established goals, at Hidronor we are facilitators in the process of the country's circular economy value chain. We work under the concept “from waste to resource” using industrial waste to generate new value products, as the production of alternative fuel based on waste with calorific value; the generation of clean energy that we inject into the national electricity grid from the biogas produced from the domestic waste we receive; we give new useful life to contaminated land and clean industrial ponds to be reused; and we value waste such as oil, batteries, scrap metal, metal parts, batteries, among others, and have been for more than 25 years.
Thus, as a company we are committed to providing comprehensive solutions in valorization, recovery, recycling, soil remediation, treatment and final disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and we will continue promoting qualified instances and services to contribute to the sustainability of Chile and achieve our environmental recovery.
Let's work together for a more sustainable world!
