In our country there are different laboratories authorized by the Seremi de Salud for the characterization and analysis of industrial and hazardous waste.
Within the Accredited according to ISO 17025 and EPA standards, one of the most prominent is that of Hidronor, a pioneer company in installing in Chile and Latin America the first treatment plant and final disposal of industrial and hazardous waste in the central area of the country, including its laboratory for characterization and analysis of them.
The company has laboratories equipped with the highest technology that allow you to comply with the needs of its clients throughout the national territory, located in the Region of Antofagasta (Antofagasta commune), Metropolitana (commune of Pudahuel) and Biobío (Florida commune), offering the possibility of carrying out analysis and characterization of hazardous and non-hazardous waste in an in- situ, or dictating certain instructions and compatibility parameters in order to that customers can take their own samples and send them to the company facilities to be analyzed and determine the appropriate treatment, which is the most important objective for the company.
Currently, Hidronor has with 4 types of characterization services:
- Determination dangerousness according to levels of toxicity, reactivity, flammability and corrosivity determined by EPA standards.
- Analysis of heavy metals in RILes and RISes made through the methodology of X-ray fluorescence spectrometry and spectroscopy inductively coupled plasma optical emission device for quantification of heavy metals.
- Determination of PCBs: Highly dangerous compounds due to their high toxicity and prohibited in Chile since 1982 by resolution of the Superintendency of Electricity and Fuels (SEC).
- Analysis organic compounds using the GC-MS analytical technique, in order to guide the treatment alternatives and / or final disposition for each one from them.
