The Second Report on the State of the Environment is an important tool for monitoring the state of the different components of the environment, as well as the actions and public policies that are implemented to address the problems that affect them. As established by Law 19,300, it is a publication that is made every four years, based on information validated by the different public services with environmental competence.

This Second Report is made up of 17 chapters, which in addition to including the main components of the environment, addresses new issues in response to the characteristics and particularities of the country, as well as the challenges it faces to achieve the goal of sustainable development. Likewise, a table is included with the main goals that the country has set and that are related to environmental objectives at the international level.
