In order to explain how industrial resources are managed in Chile, our Sales Manager, Juan Andrés Salamanca, spoke to Mineria Chilena magazine about the work we do at Hidronor. The executive detailed the services that we offer for the safe management and treatment of hazardous and non-hazardous industrial waste, such as its revaluation, recovery, recycling, transport, treatment and final disposal.
"To do this, we have certified laboratories where we analyze and characterize these wastes, in order to determine the most appropriate treatment to give in our treatment plants located in the northern, central and southern part of the country", said Juan Andrés.
In this interview he also detailed the regulations in force today that govern the management of industrial waste, speaking more profoundly about the 2020-2040 Circular Economy National Roadmap and the EPR Lawthat propose goals and actions towards migration to become a more sustainable country.
In regard to circular economy, the expert talked about the recovery of waste we work with at Hidronor to contribute to the sustainability of the country. “We have been one of the leading companies, for more than 15 years, in the production of alternative fuels which we generate from liquid waste with high calorific value. In addition, we produce clean energy (which we inject into the national grid) from biogas generated by domestic waste that is sent to our Biobío landfill”, he said.
