Environmental “Oscar” Awards open applications for Latin American entrepreneurs. Participate until October 25th!

For eight years, the "Green Awards" (better known as the "Environmental Oscars") have been receiving more than 15 thousand initiatives from social and environmental projects in Latin America, recognizing the best 500 each year. In this ninth edition, which has already started and will be open to apply online until October 25th, they seek to invigorate the green economy by highlighting the projects with the greatest impact in the region: entrepreneurships, social movements, public policies and even communication campaigns will be received.

In order to participate, each initiative must be focused on the 8 categories and 19 subcategories that have been created, all aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Waste, Biodiversity, Cities, Communication, Human Development, Economy, Energy and Public Policies. The team in charge will then carry out a pre-selection to define which ones will advance towards a third phase where they will have to present further background information, to finally choose the 21 winning ideas (of the 500 previously pre-selected), which will be awarded in a ceremony that will take place in Miami, USA this year.

As an interesting fact, we highlight that in the last edition of this award (8th) Chile obtained 43 projects included in the ranking of the 500 best, which positions us as a country with good performance in the field.
