With the aim of promoting the decarbonization process that is advancing worldwide day by day, the United Nations Organization designated January 28th as the Day for the reduction of CO2 emissions, to encourage decision-making in environmental care.

One of the main purposes is to create awareness and sensitize people, as well as, companies and governments, in order for them to take far more strict measures to effectively help minimize the greenhouse gases that annually get into the atmosphere.

As a relevant fact, it is estimated that global carbon dioxide emissions fell by 5.3% between January 1 and November 30, 2020, mainly thanks to the effects of the pandemic.

These figures are important to take into consideration and raise public awareness, as they show that with positive actions CO2 emissions can be reduced.
