World Environmental Education Day
Originates in 1975, at the International Seminar on Environmental Education in Belgrade, Serbia, where the principles of environmental education were established as a main point to create awareness for environmental care, and concern for the waste generated.

The purpose of this day is to commemorate the importance of fresh water and the defense of the sustainable management of resources to create environmental awareness of the companies that handle liquid industrial waste.

World Environment Day
This day is the main engine of the United Nations to motivate and sensitize communities in regard to recycling waste and caring for the environment. This initiative has grown over the years, and today it is celebrated in more than 100 countries.

The General Assembly decided that, as of 2009, the UN should designate this day as World Oceans Day, in order to unite the world population around the sustainable management of these.

World Tree Day
This day was established by the World Forestry Congress, held in Rome in 1969, and its objective is to remember the importance of trees, which have been with the human being since the beginning of our history.

World Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer
On September 16, 1994, the UN proclaimed the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer, thus commemorating the day the protocol on dangerous substances that deplete the ozone layer was signed, in Montreal in 1987.

This day, established by the National Service of Cultural Heritage, aims to generate interest in the public about our native species, their characteristics, ecological importance and distribution throughout the country, for the community to learn about, value and consequently will want to protect an important part of our natural heritage.

World Soil Day
It is celebrated, every year on December 5th, at the headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome and at national and regional offices around the world. A third of our soils are already degraded and we risk losing more. Although many times it is a problem that can go unnoticed, it affects everyone, everywhere.
