One of the biggest environmental problems today is the generation of waste, along with the resources used for its proper storage.
To begin with, a good way to control is to decrease the production of waste. For this there is the 3R policy (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), measures that seek to prevent the production of waste, reducing its impact on the environment.
Reduce: Seeks to generate the least amount of waste possible. For example, avoiding the use of disposable products when they are not necessary, or closing the water tap when it is not being used.
Reuse: Seeks to give a second useful life to an object that we no longer use, either by repairing it or giving it another value. For example, reusing used packaging, or writing on both sides of a piece of paper.
Recycle: Seeks to treat waste as raw material for the creation of new products. Like the recycling of paper, plastic or glass, for example.
Better living depends only on us. Let's try every day to take care of our environment, either with the simple gesture of not throwing garbage on the ground or trying to reuse everything that we do not occupy.
