The United Nations Organization defines the term "Mother Earth ”as a common expression used to refer to planet Earth in various countries and regions, demonstrating the interdependence between human beings, other living species and the planet that all we inhabit.
They indicate that the main reason for celebrating April 22, International Mother Earth Day, starts as a reminder that the planet and its ecosystems give us life and sustenance, in addition to promoting the collective responsibility that all human beings have to be in harmony with nature and all living things.
For 2019, the UN will celebrate in New York for April 23, the eighth dialogue on Harmony with Nature, which will be a platform to discuss issues such as sustainable production and consumption patterns in harmony with nature, as well as raising awareness among citizens through different actions the importance of how to relate appropriately with the natural world.
