Research and various reports indicate that policies to reduce waste in our country are urgent and necessary. Various initiatives are already being implemented, focusing on the change of habit and the promotion of shared responsibility.
The figures delivered, warn that rapid urbanization, population growth and development economic will cause the volume of waste globally to increase by a 70%.
In this line in Latin America, Chile ranks second as the country that reproduces the most waste with 1.15 kg per day per person.
In European and Asian countries such as Japan they recycle 50 and 60% of their waste, on this side of the world it is much less since only 4.5% of the garbage is optimized.
