Over time, industrial oils lose their qualities in the mechanical and high-temperature processes to which they have been subjected during mining or industrial operations, thus becoming hazardous waste.
These are generated mainly in the automotive industry, in the mining industries and in the maintenance processes of the lubrication of heavy machinery and the result is a complete mixture of organic compounds and particles from the metals of the machinery and other chemical elements from the additives used.
Faced with this threat, it is important to take into account that used industrial oils must be managed properly, since their uncontrolled discharge poses a high risk to the environment, because their components are not easily biodegradable and prevent the normal development of the biological and chemical activity of the soil, being able to alter its fertility and vegetation.
