Undoubtedly, and supported by the figures to prove it, mining is the most important economic activity in our country. For this reason, in Chile we commemorate each one of the actor’s commitment related to this area during the month of August (mining month), especially celebrating day 10, as “National Miners Day”, in honor of "San Lorenzo" the patron saint.

This way, we take advantage of this date each year to highlight all the effort there is behind each mining project and the industry in general, which has been focused in recent years on making this management more sustainable, seeking among other aspects, to convert negative externalities into alternatives that allow their operational continuity in an environmentally friendly way.

To support the fulfillment of this objective, at Hidronor we provide the remediation and sanitation of contaminated mine lands among other services, as well as the advice, analysis, characterization, transport, treatment, and final disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, offering the possibility of developing projects directly at the sites of each client.

Thanks to our know-how and more than 25 years of experience, today, we at Hidronor are a benchmark company in the mining (and industrial) industry, as we, in this specific field, have achieved after sampling, analysis, removal, treatment and/or recovery of the mining waste contaminated area, converting the damaged land into a surface with optimal conditions for its subsequent use, avoiding environmental and human health impact this way.

You can learn more about our remediation and sanitation service for contaminated mining sites at https://www.hidronor.cl/remediacion-y-saneamiento-de-terrenos-contaminados/ or a few other ones here.

We continue working to make mining a more sustainable business. Happy Miners Day and Month!
