International Mother Earth Day, or Earth Day, is celebrated every April 22. The promoter of this world date is US Senator Gaylord Nelson, who decided to establish this day to raise global awareness about ecology. The problems that affect us in terms of pollution, waste, the conservation of biodiversity and global warming are the main issues.
The UN (United Nations) was not far behind in this initiative, so in turn they recognize and participate in this day as a way to become aware, celebrate and take care of the planet.
