In order to generate greater awareness of the population about the importance of correctly treating waste and protecting the environment, every May 17th Global Recycling Day is commemorated, proclaimed by UNESCO since 2005.

This date is a benchmark for ideas and initiatives that invite us to reduce the volume of the waste we generate and thus minimize our carbon footprint. To make ideas more attractive, there is a rule called "the 3Rs" to encourage actions aiming to Reduce, Recycle and Reuse.

To commemorate this day, at Hidronor we offer you some ideas / tips to contribute to a circular economy and environmental sustainability:

Reduce: Prefer buying products in bulk without packaging. Take ecological bags or reusable containers with you to transport your purchase

Recycle: Deposit your waste, separated by the type of material, in the most suitable place that you have. Separate paper and cardboard from glass and plastic containers (the latter types must also be arranged separately). In addition, the organic matter can be placed in a private bag to give this residue another use, as fertilizer, etc.

Reuse:  It contributes to a circular economy and gives a second useful life to all possible elements. Elements such as bags, bottles, containers, boxes, among others, can serve as flower pots, decoration, construction, etc.
