As we well know, the effects of climate change intensify day by day: heat waves, droughts and floods are some of the most relevant problems that we see worldwide, and Chile is no exception. Although some measures have been imposed in recent years that seek to mitigate it, we must become aware - both at an industrial and personal level - about the proactive management that we all must carry out to really achieve the desired objectives.

Today, various studies assure that in order to reduce the percentage of greenhouse gas emissions, concrete actions are needed that contribute to the circular economy, but how is the industrial sector doing it?

Juan Andrés Salamanca, Sales and Marketing Manager of Hidronor Chile, highlights that "the first step to move in a more sustainable direction is for all companies and organizations to seek advice on current regulations that seek to add value to the environment and know how to reduce the environmental effects caused by their industrial activity. In the case of those that generate hazardous industrial waste, they must take charge of it in a responsible manner, as established by the Rep. Law and DS 148”.

To support this objective, at Hidronor we add value to the environment with our Comprehensive waste management, treatment and final disposal services, as well as the energy revaluation, recovery and recycling of the same; remediation and restoration of contaminated land; advice, analysis and characterization of waste, among others.

However, the executive adds that "it is urgent to migrate from the current linear production model to a more circular production in order to reduce the effects of climate change, and this is only possible if both industrial sectors work hand in hand to help to others".
