The need to provide security and health care for the employees is a topic that is having a great surge and importance in companies every day. In Chile we rely on Law 16,744 that rules over everything related to occupational accidents and diseases, where multiple regulations that are adapted to the field of each company are triggered to determine the actions, regulations and measurements that each one must exercise in order to comply with the current laws.

At Hidronor, a company with more than 25 years of service dedicated to the sustainable development of the country through comprehensive waste management and treatment solutions, there is full compliance with the required safety regulations. Among others, the company has the ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety certification and the ISO 14001 environmental management system certified by Bureau Veritas and Responsible Conduct by ASIQUIM. These management systems collaborate for the safe disposal processes of waste in the company's Industrial Plants.

And the fact is that working safely has its reward. “Thanks to this action, the Chilean Safety Association (ACHS) recently recognized the work at three of Hidronor’s plants for our outstanding performance in Safety and Health at work. The company thus obtained the following recognitions: Copiulemu Plant - 33 months without human accidents. Transfer Plant - 24 months without human accidents. Antofagasta Plant - 33 months without human accidents ”, highlighted Ricardo Leiva, head of Hidronor's security department.

Initiatives of this type demonstrate the institution’s commitment to safety towards people, and they must be taken into account when choosing suppliers in the industry that provide support to the requirements of each company.
