The commitment to sustainability and the environment is the premise at Hidronor Chile. This is how in the treatment processes of waste the company incorporates the recovery of wastewater from by RILes.

“Our commitment as a company is inclusive. That is to say, we not only recover and revalue waste so that it can be reused by other companies, but we take advantage of some, such as wastewater, to operate in our own process plants ", highlights Juan Andrés Salamanca, gerente de Ventas y Marketing de la compañía.

The treatment of these liquids, which enter Hidronor as hazardous liquid waste, such as IRRs from processes and contaminated waters, is carried out through physical-chemical processes to abate the dangerous components with a control of the process parameters. The treatments used include neutralization, metal precipitation, advanced oxidation, chemical reduction and filtration of the treated waste. After this process, the liquids are already in optimal conditions to be reused as process water in plant operations, and it is used by Hidronor and other industries. In other words, Hidronor reuses water within its processes, minimizing the use of industrial water.

Currently the company has three operating plants throughout the country, distributed in Antofagasta, Pudahuel and Concepción. "In We all implement the same process, in order to make even stronger our commitment to the environment ”, adds Juan Andrés.
