In order to raise awareness and expand the knowledge associated with the process, impact and results of an efficient management of hazardous industrial waste, Hidronor Chile recently participated in an internal celebration of World Environment Day of their client Foundry Vulco - Weir Minerals.
The company (Foundry Vulco), leaders in mining equipment manufacturing, promoted this initiative as part of their sustainable actions for the correct environmental care and Hidronor was the supplier in charge of providing answers, to more than 200 assisting collaborators, to inquiries about the requirements of DS148 and other regulations in force in our country, as well as information for each employee to contribute to a correct segregation of hazardous waste generated by the company, such as solvents, grease, hydrocarbon contaminated material, paints, metal scrap, among others.
Additionally, to associate the work with World Environment Day, both companies gave small trees to the attendees expecting to generate a positive impact on the ecosystem. In this sense, and with the same objective, Hidronor plans to replicate this type of initiative with the rest of its clients in order to encourage better practices to promote the sustainable management of hazardous waste.
