Pablo Badenier, Minister of the Environment, together with Claudio Orrego, Metropolitan Mayor, and representatives of the Regional Council of Santiago, presented on Thursday, August 18, a new waste management project, which seeks to expand the clean points of the region to 16 communes. This will help achieve the goal of the Recycling Act; increasing the household waste recycling rate in Chile by up to 30%.
This initiative will allow recycling; paper and cardboard, glass, plastics, metals and tetra pak containers, among others.
