Trying to reduce the amount of waste in the cleaning products we use is essential when it comes to wanting to lower our carbon footprint and maintain a more environmentally friendly lifestyle, especially from our home.

A continuación, te entregamos algunos consejos para lograr reducir residuos en la limpieza:

  • Use detergents without phosphates or surfactants, as these can cause diseases in the respiratory system.
  • Refillable detergents have less impact from packaging.
  • La limpieza y la “blancura” no mejoran por usar más detergente del mínimo necesario.
  • For cleaning many surfaces and fabrics, natural or neutral soaps give optimal results.
  • Fabric softeners are very polluting, reduce the life of clothes and can affect the skin. Try not to use them or only use them occasionally.
  • Vinegar serves as a detergent, floor cleaner, color fixer for woolen garments, and even as a degreaser.
  • Avoid using air fresheners. It is best to ventilate the rooms, and if necessary, place aromatic plants or essential oil vaporizers.
  • Baking soda and borax are universal detergents and are used to bleach clothes.
  • To dispose of your household waste, use recycled and biodegradable garbage bags.
