Alrededor de 80 estudiantes y académicos, asistieron el martes 04 de septiembre, al Seminario de Jornadas Universitarias sobre Gestión de Residuos, que se llevó a cabo en la Universidad de La Serena y estuvo organizado por la revista InduAmbiente y auspiciado por Hidronor.
The activity, aimed at teachers, researchers and students pursuing careers related to environmental management, aimed to develop topics of interest on the main challenges facing the management of household and industrial waste in the Coquimbo Region; as well as the solutions that are being developed from the public and private sectors, the comprehensive treatment of industrial waste and current alternatives to improve their management.
The conference had as exhibitors Gonzalo Velásquez, Hidronor's Environmental Manager, who referred in detail to the "Comprehensive management and treatment of industrial waste", Boris Castillo, waste expert from the Planning and Territorial Development Division of the Regional Government of Coquimbo, who addressed the topic "Challenges in the waste management in the region and actions from the public sector ”and the Professor of the Institutional Improvement Program Inenergies of the ULS, Marcela Pastén, who elaborated on“ University Social Responsibility as a training stamp ”.
