The Regional Secretariat of the Ministry of Health of the Metropolitan Region (Seremi), in compliance with the Health Code, aims to protect the community from both health and environmental risks.

One of the objectives is to cover a Region where people have a healthier life, supporting companies associated with the management and treatment of waste, and contributing to the conservation, improvement and recovery of the basic elements of the environment, complying with the objectives established by the Sanitary Code indicated by the MINSAL (Ministry of Health).
