On March 10, the international workshop "Technological and environmental challenges of the revaluation of waste" was held in Chile, which was attended by national and foreign experts who analyzed success stories in the world and others at the local level on the challenges that waste management imposes in these times, dealing with issues related to hydrothermal carbonization and the manufacture of liquid biofuels.
The Dr. Luis Díaz, from the University of Santiago, addressed the recovery of waste through the hydrothermal carbonization method as a opportunity to provide greater advantages for the sustainability of companies, and for example, reduce the percentage of chlorine in PVC processes. Likewise, international experts from Spain and Portugal, presented relevant topics for the circular economy through the revaluation of agroindustrial, forestry and tire waste as a contribution of the REP Law to enhance the biofuel manufacturing liquids, alternative sustainable for him environment and enhance the growth of industries. Another proposal from the experts, to move forward towards a development sustainable was the biogas promotion as a valid resource in the revaluation of waste.
